Three Coffee Works in the ‘A Moment in Time: Ballarat’ Exhibition

This image shows the end of the coffee bean roasting process. The door of the coffee roaster is lifting so roasted beans can fall into the cooling tray. Steam rises from the open door.

My three framed coffee works in the ‘A Moment in Time: Ballarat’ group exhibition are for sale.

People from Ballarat may remember a coffee roastery ‘The Bean Barn’ which was in Sturt Street. My partner, Richard Emery was the coffee roaster.

I’m now a member of the Ballarat Society of Artists. The group currently have an exhibition entitled “A Moment in Time: Ballarat” at the Lake Wendouree Museum. My submission to this group exhibition is a series of three works featuring coffee. I took many photographs when Richard was roasting coffee at The Bean Barn. For this exhibition I have selected three. Each has been digitally altered in Photoshop to bring out the moods I wanted to express.

All three are for sale, along with some wonderful works by other members of the Ballarat Society of Artists.

“A Moment in Time: Ballarat” is open every Sunday between 10 am to 3 pm at the Lake Wendouree Museum. The Museum is located at 27 Wendouree Parade, Ballarat. “A Moment in time: Ballarat” runs until 20 February 2026.
