Ballarat Society of Artists
Recently I made a decision to join the Ballarat Society of Artists, a friendly and active arts group near me. The group has an exhibition ‘Beyond the City Limits’ situated in the Lake Wendouree Museum. As you might guess, right on the shore of Lake Wendouree opposite the Lake View Hotel.
The exhibition opened yesterday, and is open every Sunday until 26th October, from 10am until 3pm. The 3 artworks I have entered into the exhibition are:
- “Dappled Pink Fingers Orchid” a digital collage;
- “Summer by the Dam” a small work in acrylics and inktense blocks;
- “Leaves” a watercolour on paper with Inktense pencil marks.
I’ve written about each of these works before, so follow the above links to see the artworks. To see some of the works by other artists in the exhibition, view the promotion on Visit Victoria website.
As a newcomer to the group, I’m happy to have this opportunity to be involved so quickly. Two volunteers from the group will be present each Sunday. This is a great chance to find out more about the group while you’re there.
The ‘Beyond City Limits’ poster is below. Please share it with your friends in Ballarat and surrounding areas.
