Day 68: 12 Abstract Landscapes

Abstract Landscape Painting 'Down the Creek' by Lisa G Hunter shows a creek running over rocks and fallen logs, with mossy banks.

I love painting abstract landscapes. It’s where I am always ‘in the zone’. Lost in the work, the cares of the world disappear. It’s just me and the colours. Today I thought I would put together a gallery of 12 abstract landscapes for you to view. Many, but not all, are for sale on my Bluethumb page. Some have sold directly from my studio.

You can view these paintings full screen by clicking on the painting.

New Abstract Landscape Works

I’m working on a collection of new abstract landscape artworks. These works will be displayed and for sale in my studio for the Golden Plains Arts Trail. The Arts Trail is being held over the weekend of Saturday 12 and Sunday 13th April 2025.

The Golden Plains Arts Trail has been an event in the Golden Plains Shire since 2009. The focus is on community. Over this weekend, artists are there to talk to you about their work. The trail stretches between Geelong and Ballarat with many different venues and approximately 50 artists. I love this event. It is a joy to chat to people who love art. Yes, it is nice to sell things, but the point of the event is the interaction between people. I’ve had some excellent conversations over the years.
