Wildflower Photography
Why WIldflowers?
If the parent plant survives long enough, it may set seed.
If the seed falls in the right place, if it rains enough, if the sun is not too scorching, it may grow.
If wildlife or livestock don’t eat the seedlings, if it isn’t ploughed into the earth, if there isn’t a drought or a flood or a fire, the plant may reach maturity. And then, if this is sustained long enough, maybe, just maybe, there will be a wildflower.

Nodding Greenhoods
Nodding Greenhood Orchids (Pterostylis nutans) flower in mid to late winter. A cheerful sight when they grow in colonies.
