My First Open Studio

2023 Golden Plains Arts Trail poster

On the first weekend in May, I am having my first open studio. After an absence of 3 years, the Golden Plains Arts Trail is back. I usually participate with other local artists in the Dereel Soldier’s Memorial Hall, but in the intervening years, I’ve built my own art studio. I’m Venue 7 on the North Trail.

My new work is a series of abstract landscape paintings. I will also have photographs of local wildflowers, some of my originally designed fabrics, prints, gift cards and more. Dereel is about 30 minutes drive from Ballarat, and the Colac-Ballarat Road takes you through the beautiful Enfield forest.

Three other venues, and six other artists are exhibiting their work in Dereel, and all up, the 2023 Golden Plains Arts Trail features 65 artists over 20 venues on the weekend of 6th and 7th May. Come out for a chat, if nothing else. For my first open studio, it will be wonderful to see you.

You can find all of the information you need to know about the 2023 Golden Plains Shire on the GP Arts Inc. website.
